Philipp Homar works as a Research Associate at the Department for Business Law and European Integration at the Danube
University Krems and at the IT|IP Law Group of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His primary fields of research are IP and Data Law with an emphasis on copyright and digital media. From 2015 to July 2017, Philipp Homar was Deputy Principal Investigator of the interdisciplinary research project “From User-Generated-Content to a User-Generated-Copyright” (https://u-g-c.at/en), in which legal scholars and social scientists defined relevant prerequisites for a modern, well-balanced copyright system based on a broad social consensus. He is the author of several publications on copyright law and regularly speaking at national and international conferences.
