Abstract: Copyright, the Internet, and the Balance of Rights explores the issue of fair use of copyright, the user’s rights and status, the abuse and balance of rights, online copyright infringement and privacy and the responsibility of internet service providers in the Internet environment. It discusses the legislative and judicial reforms regarding the above issues in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and then further explores how to achieve the best balance of copyright in the Internet environment to stimulate the creativity of society. The book consists of eight chapters. The first part discusses the balance, fair use and abuse of copyright; the second part focuses on the identification of online infringement and liability.
